Comment Policy
May 24, 2008 Michael Brito
I strongly believe that comments are essential to this blog; and I appreciate everyone who has left a comment in the past. Comments are a key ingredient in nurturing and fostering conversations in an attempt to create a sense of community. I enjoy interacting with anyone and everyone and gladly welcome your comments. It is my goal to maintain a community where everyone feels free to express themselves, but I also realize that there is always a possiblity that conversations can get negative resulting in negative sniping and personal attacks. When this happens, I reserve the right to close the comments on those articles or blog posts. That said, I will make every attempt to read and respond to each comment with effort and thought.
Comment Moderation
All first time comments are moderated. I will work to review and approve comments as quickly as possible, but please do not resubmit your comment if it does not appear right away. Once moderated, and assuming you use the same email address, you will be free to comment on all posts – past, present and future without moderation.
Linking To Your Site and Others
If you are adding a link in your comment, we trust that it is providing additional value to the conversation. We do use the rel=”nofollow” attribute by default. Any spammy links will result in the comment not being approved.
Signatures In Comments
Adding a signature is completely optional; but please do not spam. Additionally, you are more than welcome to add your website’s link in the designated URL box just below your name and e-mail address and your name will automatically be hyperlinked.
Subscribing To Comments via E-mail
In order to receive notification of comments left after yours, it is essential that you provide a valid and working e-mail address. You will not be subscribed to any mailing list as a result of subscribing to the comments and you can have your e-mail address removed at any time by visiting the comment subscription manager.
