From Social Business to Social Brand: Syracuse University

I had the absolute pleasure to speak at Syracuse University Newhouse School of Public Communications to a group of pretty awesome PR students. The topic was  focused on the characteristics of a social brand more so than a social business. I did emphasize, however, that while it’s important for organizations to be human (social brand), they must first focus on humanizing its business operations first (social business). And that in today’s business environment, that cycle is happening in reverse.

Here is more information on my upcoming book , Smart Business, Social Business: A Playbook for Social Media in Your Organization scheduled to be released in July 2011. You can pre-order by clicking on the below book cover. Thank you.
