You can purchase tickets here (they are cheap); and even if you can’t make it, you can always give up a latte for the day and donate some coin. Janet Fouts and Shel Israel will be singing their respective books, Twitterville and Social Media Success. Books will be for sale at the event.

It is awesome to see people helping others by using social media networks on the web. I stumbled upon this post and it really amazes me that not only companies use social media tools to generate traffic to the web but yet to inform people on what's going on. What the situation may be. It is nice that people are willing to lend a helping hand to those who are in need, especially kids. I know that they will appreciate it greatly.

It is interesting that people have signed onto these networks and have decided to all meet to help those who are in need. I think this is a great example of what the new era of media can offer, not just to companies but for those who want to make a difference in the world. I am new to the world of new media but I am thankful that I have signed on.
