I agree there is no effect of unemployment on social media because what i observed in recession period the thing which is on the top is social media and social networking websites.

Just a heads up about Chegg: They're looking for someone to instantly monetize the social media platform for the company, rather than take the more patient community-building route to cultivate customer loyalty and raise brand awareness. (they probably wouldn't mind doing the latter two, but it's certainly not as high of a priority as making cold hard $)

How do I know this? I interviewed with them and the first thing they asked me is how they could convert several thousand fans/followers into revenue. They cited the Best Buy Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/BestBuy) as an example — the landing page of which is just an embedded HTML copy of the BestBuy.com main shopping page.

So, are they a little clueless? I'll leave that up to the vets like yourself... But don't expect to get anywhere with them trumpeting the good ol' "building an online community fosters brand loyalty and dependable customer retention" social media mantra; they seem to want more of a yes-man to their "How can we make money with every single tweet and/or a Facebook Page?"
