Blogs that make you go hmm, hmm, hmm

May 11, 2007 Michael Brito

So, ya’ll remember that song by the C&C music factory, things that make you go hmm? If not, here are the lyrics. Okay, now on to my point. For the first time in my blogging career, I have been tagged and I am really excited about it. The lovely Lynn Terry, who blogs at Clicknewz (a blog I read quite often) tagged me on May 7th to participate and tell you about 5 bloggers that make me go hmm, hmm, hmm (I added the two hmm’s)

Here are the rules of the MEME:

  • If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think. (Then tag them.)
  • Tell the five bloggers I tagged they are tagged and
  • Link to the post that tagged me so that people can easily trace the exact origin of the meme.

This really wasn’t too difficult for me since I don’t have many friends that blog. I also crossed out those on my list who I thought wouldn’t care to participate. I am also tagging them at the same time; so if everything goes as planned, you should find 5 trackbacks here in the comment section that lead to their posts on this topic

Here are the blogs that make me go hmm, hmm, hmm in no particular order of importance:

Paul O’Brien: What can I say about this guy? I worked with Paul at HP and I must say that he is one of the smartest and most analytical marketers I have ever met. He frequently blogs about search engine marketing and speaks at a ton of conferences. You go boy!

Linda Bustos: a new friend-blogger of mine. Also, I might add that I just made her blogroll (thanks). Linda has incredible insight in to social media, social networking and viral marketing; all marketing disciplines that I am extremely passionate about.

Amy Cham: Let’s see, Amy works in interactive marketing and is just about ready to finish her MBA (congrats girl). She often blogs about Web 2.0 stuff and gives great advice to her small business audience. Haven’t made her blogroll yet, but I am sure I will once she reads this post. Now, go get inside her head!

Brendon Swanson: Brendon and I have a ton in common. He often blogs about social media and marketing; and according to him loves to point out bad, weird and intrusive marketing ploys by whoever might commit them. He also comments quite frequently on my blog which I totally appreciate.

The Diva (think her name is Kera): I met the Diva on twitter and she is very interesting. She often blogs about her daily adventures in her real life and her second life. According to her Myspace tag, she is Crazy, Sexy, Cool”….emphasis on CRAZY!” She did promise (well, she said maybe) that she would blog about the Extra Dance Contest (a real contest, not a virtual one). Still waiting.

So, there it is the 5 blogs that make me go hmm, hmm, hmm (music in the background).

Hey blogger-friend from across the pond. Thanks for mentioning smogger, and thanks even MORE for mentioning C&C Music Factory. Although "Things that make you go Hmmm" was a chart topper, it doesn't hold a candle to "Everybody Dance Now."

Have I been tagged by virtue of making this list?

Hi Linda - thank you for stopping by.  Yes, "Everybody Dance Now" does bring back memories of me "getting my groove on" at the clubs a long long time ago (re-emphasizing long).

I was actually thinking about tagging you before I even left you a comment. Yes, your blog is THAT good!  : )

Excited about being tagged, are you? Just wait...it has only begun. Next time, load up your favorite YouTube tune and we can hum along as we read your post. Good insight on some fellow bloggers1
